The Global Services Division at Children’s National Health System has facilitated the international patient journey for more than 20 years. Our multilingual team is ready to provide your family with the highest level of dedicated support to manage medical services and all related needs. We’re here to help you on every step of your journey – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our team is well-versed in the diverse linguistic, cultural and religious needs of many different countries, allowing us to bridge cultural gaps in order to make your family feel more at home. Additionally, we maintain in-country liaisons in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait to assist you before and after your care journey.

Children’s National is a premier pediatric academic medical institution located in the heart of the United States capital, Washington, DC. Our internationally recognized team of pediatric physicians care for more than 219,000 patients each year. Our multidisciplinary approach coordinates resources to ensure that patients receive treatments that are tailored to the specific unique needs of each child and family. The team includes pediatric specialists in more than 45 specialties, many of whom serve on the faculty of the George Washington University School of Medicine. Particular areas of international expertise include:

Additionally, Children’s worldwide Telemedicine Program allows expert physicians and medical teams to consult, counsel, and exchange knowledge with their counterparts around the world. Currently, the telemedicine program assists with the care of children via 100 partnership sites in 14 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Children’s National Global Services Program specializes in meeting the needs of physicians who may be interested in learning more about our services and/or contacting a member of our faculty. In particular, for Gulf region inquiries/referrals, Children’s offers in-country liaisons in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kuwait City, Kuwait.
